Campus Regina Public Fire Science students have the opportunity each year to visit the only firefighter training facility in the province of Saskatchewan.  Parkland Fire College is located in Melville, Saskatchewan.  Some of our students have gone on to attend and complete training at Parkland.  Students are given a full tour of both the classroom environments and the skills training sites as well (This includes the Parkland Campus, the Melville Fire Station, & the Parkland Training grounds).  Students are informed about the program so they can have a better understanding of what to expect from Firefighter training at Parkland.

Students wound their own guitar pickups, made the bodies from plywood, and wired it all themselves.

There is no better way to learn than to get your hands a little dirty, or in this case, clean. Students in the Campus Regina Public Salon were treated to a hands on workshop with our wonderful Redken representative Marlene Campbell. During our two hour class, students were introduced to a variety of Redken products for the variety of different hair types and needs. 

After an individual consultation with Marlene, the students raced to the sinks for various types of hair treatments, shampoos, and conditioners. While practicing their combing and blow drying techniques, students were able to try out various finishing products, and receive the education behind these products.

Last week, the Graphic Art class learned about creating Low Poly style art pictures in Photoshop. The students then made their own, and one student, Cadence, created this pug portrait.  Cadence used over 1000 triangles in his creation.  If you are interested in having Cadence create your own personalized dog portrait, please contact us for prices.
